How Inciva processes authorized Instagram-related data, protects connected account information, and handles privacy requests.

Last updated: April 14, 2026

Overview

Inciva ("Inciva", "we", "our", or "us") provides software tools that help users connect authorized Instagram-related account data, review analytics and engagement information, and use related business workflow features inside the product.

We are committed to handling data responsibly, minimizing unnecessary collection, and maintaining appropriate safeguards for the data we process. This Privacy Policy explains what information we process, why we process it, how we protect it, and what choices users have.

1. What We Do Not Collect

Inciva does not ask for, collect, view, or store your Instagram or Meta account password.

Account connection is handled through Meta's authorization flow. When a user connects an account, authorization is granted through Meta's systems rather than by providing account credentials directly to Inciva.

Inciva does not sell personal data.

2. Information We May Process

Depending on the features a user chooses to use, Inciva may process the following categories of information:

Account and profile information

  • account identifiers made available through authorized integrations
  • username
  • profile metadata
  • public-facing account information available through authorized APIs

Media and performance data

  • media or post identifiers
  • captions
  • media type and metadata
  • timestamps
  • permalinks
  • media-related metrics such as likes, comments, reach, impressions, saves, and similar analytics made available through authorized APIs

Comment and engagement data

Where relevant permissions and features are enabled, Inciva may process:

  • comment identifiers
  • comment text
  • related usernames
  • timestamps
  • engagement-related context

Imported user data

If a user chooses to use import functionality, Inciva may process files and structured records derived from supported user-provided exports.

Comparison or competitor-related data

If a user chooses to use comparison features, Inciva may process relevant comparison data associated with those features.

Authentication, connection, and session data

To operate the service securely, Inciva may process:

  • provider connection records
  • session identifiers
  • token hashes
  • access tokens or related authorization artifacts required to provide the service

Technical and diagnostic information

To maintain security and reliability, Inciva may process limited operational data such as:

  • error events
  • crash or exception details
  • limited request context needed for security, abuse prevention, troubleshooting, and service stability

3. How We Use Information

Inciva processes information only as needed to provide, secure, maintain, and improve the service. This includes using data to:

  • connect and maintain authorized account access
  • retrieve and display account, media, and engagement information
  • provide analytics, review, workflow, and related product features requested by the user
  • support onboarding, synchronization, and operational flows
  • secure the service, prevent abuse, and protect system integrity
  • detect, investigate, and resolve product issues
  • comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms where necessary

Inciva does not use user data for unrelated purposes inconsistent with the service the user requested.

4. How We Share Information

Inciva does not sell personal data.

We may disclose limited information only when necessary in the following circumstances:

Service operation

with hosting, infrastructure, database, monitoring, and similar service providers that help us operate the service securely and reliably

Feature processing

with trusted processing providers where a user explicitly uses a feature that depends on such processing, including analytical or generative workflows

Legal or safety reasons

where required by applicable law, valid legal process, or where reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety, security, or service integrity

We do not share data for third-party advertising resale purposes.

5. Data Retention

Inciva retains data only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain security, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and document operational events where appropriate.

Retention periods may vary depending on the data type and feature used.

6. Data Deletion

Users may request deletion of relevant Inciva-related data through Meta's applicable data deletion mechanisms and through support channels made available by Inciva.

When a valid deletion request is received and processed, Inciva deletes relevant user-owned data associated with that request in accordance with its deletion workflow.

In limited cases, Inciva may retain minimal records where reasonably necessary for legal compliance, security, abuse prevention, or to document request processing.

For deletion-related questions, users may contact support@inciva.app.

7. Security

Inciva applies technical and organizational measures designed to protect data against unauthorized access, misuse, disclosure, alteration, or loss.

These measures may include:

  • protected authorization flows
  • controlled session handling
  • safeguards for sensitive credentials and tokens
  • service monitoring and issue detection
  • restricted operational access where appropriate

No system can guarantee absolute security, but Inciva is designed to handle data with care and to reduce unnecessary exposure wherever possible.

8. International Processing

Depending on the infrastructure and service providers used to operate Inciva, information may be processed in jurisdictions other than a user's home country. Where this occurs, we seek to use appropriate safeguards consistent with applicable law and responsible service operation.

9. Children's Privacy

Inciva is not intended for unlawful use by children or by persons who are not legally permitted to use the service under applicable law.

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect product, legal, operational, or security changes. When we do, we will revise the "Last Updated" date above.
